Stephen Curry does it again! In 2016 he broke the NBA season record for most 3-pointers with 402 surpassing his previous record of 286 in 2015. Tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans, Chef Curry hits 13 3-pointers out of 17 shots. The record was previously held by Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall with 12. He put up 46 total points in a historic game to help the Warriors win 116 – 106. The question now is who will break the new record?
During the Warriors previous game against the Lakers, Stephen Curry’s 157 game streak of 3 pointers came to an end as he went 0-10. Then you look at his next game where he breaks the record looking invincible, this goes to show you that the Chef can catch fire any given game.
Klay Thompson added 24 points going 11-20 from the field.
Kevin Durant continued his streak at 70 straight game with 20+ by going 8-17, 22 points.
The next game up for the Golden State Warriors will be the Dallas Mavericks. The last time these two teams met, Curry scored 33 points going 5-12 from 3-point range. Klay Thompson added 40 points himself going 9-16 from down range. It should be an interesting game to watch, and we’ll see if the Mavs can put out the Curry flame!
